How it works

    Gently swab the inside of your dog’s cheek pouch and under the tongue to collect saliva for at least 30 seconds.

  2. 2. Activate & mail

    Activate each kit online and send samples to our lab in their prepaid envelopes. Note: Samples remain stable for at least 6 months. However, kits expire two years after purchase, so please plan accordingly.

  3. 3. Results in 2-4 weeks

    We’ll do the rest and notify you by email when your results are ready. Log in to your account to learn all about your pup!

    Wonderful company!!

    For the 2nd dog we also purchased the test and again it was not only a very nice and professional experience with lovely people but also a very quick service and help. The test brought us a lot of insight in the behavior of our mixed dogs, they were very complete and we got very complete and clear information and also very accurate (we did not post a photo before the test nor gave information but they were very right). Although we leave in Belgium the process was very easy. We highly recommend Embark, the best ever!

    I got the Embark Health and DNA test for my pup Fergus. We had a pretty good idea that his mother was a beagle mix, but no clue about his father. From looking at him, you see bits and pieces of all kinds of breeds.

    Our test told us that Fergus is a Supermutt (yes he is super!). The mixed breeds were very layered, but they were able to get us a pretty good list of the ones solidly identified. Plus we know that he's of good health with a low chance of any genetic ailment.

    I love the Embark test for telling me how super my mutt is!
