In 2015, two scientist brothers set out to decode the history and health of dogs. After traveling across 40+ countries and collecting thousands of DNA samples, their mission evolved into Embark: the world’s leading canine genetics company.

Amish Desai
Chief Executive Officer
Amish Desai is a seasoned executive known for leadership in consumer retail across financial, retail, and strategic development areas. As CEO and Board Member of Embark Veterinary, Inc., a global leader in dog health and genetics, he drives customer-centric innovation and multi-channel growth strategies.
Appointed CEO in December 2023 after serving as CFO since July 2022, Amish brings over 20 years of consumer-focused leadership across multi-scale global brands. His extensive retail experience includes transformational roles at Victoria's Secret, Henri Bendel, and J. Jill, where he played a key role in the company's transition from private equity to a successful publ ic offering. Previously, as Senior Vice President at Rue Gilt Groupe, he led comprehensive finance functions including M&A and strategic planning.
Amish's expertise spans strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, retail operations, customer insights, and business acquisition integration across multinational public and private companies. His focus at Embark centers on accelerating innovation, expanding category awareness, and growing multi-channel distribution while supporting pet parents through core DNA offerings and new product development.
He began his career at Deloitte and holds an MBA from Lehigh University. Amish is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant, serves as an advisory board member to Stylecard, Vice Chairman and board member of the South Shore YMCA, and is a founding member of The F Suite, connecting executives across leading venture capital and high-growth technology companies.
Tali Ronen
SVP, People
Tali Ronen is the Senior Vice President of People & Customer Experience at Embark Veterinary, where she leads the company’s efforts to build a high-performing, mission-driven culture while delivering exceptional experiences to customers and employees alike.
With a background in both startup and high-growth environments, Tali brings deep expertise in organizational strategy and design, change leadership, and customer-centric operations. She has held senior HR leadership roles across the biotech and healthcare companies in the US and abroad.
At Embark, Tali partners closely with the team to align people and customer strategies to the company’s long-term goals, guiding teams through transformation, scaling, and strategic change. As a dog mom, she understands firsthand the joys and challenges of pet parenthood and is driven every day by Embark’s mission to provide the insights and tools pet parents need to better understand and care for their dogs.
Fabiola Carcamo
VP, Product
Fabiola Carcamo is Vice President of Product at Embark Veterinary, where she is charting the next generation of AI-powered personalized pet care — bridging advanced genetics with intuitive digital experiences that turn scientific insights into actionable care for pets and their families.
She has a proven track record of scaling direct-to-consumer digital products. At Jabra Hearing, she led product strategy that increased premium adoption, generated millions in incremental revenue, and contributed to the company’s acquisition and rebrand. She has also led product teams at Weight Watchers, Vroom, and Priceline, consistently building high-performing organizations that achieved double-digit growth in engagement and retention.
Fabiola earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and mentors emerging product leaders through organizations such as Techstars and Pursuit.org. A lifelong animal lover and advocate for technology that improves quality of life, she enjoys dog agility training with her rescue dog Becky, stand-up paddleboarding, and exploring food-centric experiences with her family.
John Zablocki
VP, Technology
John Zablocki (JZ) brings extensive tech and startup experience to Embark, having held senior leadership roles at both SaaS and B2C companies including MediaRadar, HealthcareSource, and Skedaddle. As Vice President of Technology at Embark Vet, JZ oversees the company’s technology strategy and leads its engineering organization. In this role, he is responsible for driving technical innovation and ensuring that Embark’s platform scales to support the company’s growth and mission. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and a B.A. from Fairfield University and has authored technical books for O’Reilly and Pact. When not thinking about AI, data and user experiences, JZ can typically be found with his guitars and synths or with his daughter MaryKatherine, his partner Bethany, and their three rescue dogs (Mila, Tara, Mabel), and two rescue cats (Newman, Otto).
Sam Arnold
VP, Marketing
Sam Arnold is a dynamic marketing leader passionate about building brands that connect deeply with their audiences. As VP of Marketing at Embark Veterinary, Sam leads a talented team across performance, brand, retail, and e-commerce marketing, guiding the company through an exciting brand transformation. Over the past decade, Sam has shaped marketing strategies and launched products for companies in health, wellness, tech, and consumer goods, from start-ups to nationally recognized brands. Known for fostering collaborative, high-performing teams, Sam brings together data-driven insights and creative storytelling to inspire action and growth. Outside of work, Sam is an advocate for lifelong learning, an enthusiastic dog lover, and someone who believes great marketing starts with understanding people.
Grace Carter
VP, Finance
Grace Carter is the Vice President of Finance at Embark Veterinary, where she leads accounting, financial, and supply chain operations to support the company’s growth and mission. A CPA with over a decade of experience in public accounting, startups, and high-growth corporate environments, she is known for fostering cross-functional collaboration and integrating financial insights into strategic decision-making. Grace has a proven track record of building high-performing finance organizations that ensure accuracy and compliance while driving long-term growth, and as an animal lover, she is inspired by Embark’s mission to help people better understand and care for their dogs.
