    Gently swab the inside of your dog’s cheek pouch and under the tongue to collect saliva for at least 30 seconds.

  2. 2. Activate & mail

    Activate each kit online and send samples to our lab in their prepaid envelopes. Note: Samples remain stable for at least 6 months. However, kits expire two years after purchase, so please plan accordingly.

  3. 3. Results in 2-4 weeks

    We’ll do the rest and notify you by email when your results are ready. Log in to your account to learn all about your pup!

    The DNA report we received was 43 pages of extremely valuable information. Buddy is a rescue and not only did we learn about his lineage, the report also detailed his genetic propensity for certain adverse health issues such as the detailed report of his food and environmental allergen sensitivities, all of which is based on his individual DNA. We lacked the adverse health data a simple DNA test may have revealed for a previous dog and lacking that information, our family suffered the loss our cherished Black Mouth Cur, Daisy. Going forward, Buddy will enjoy the benefits of our having a more comprehensive view of his profile thanks to Embark.

    Happy With Results

    Seeing her breed break down has helped me understand some training challenges and be more patient with her while she is working through her young adult reactivity. The health info gave me a peace of mind that she is very low risk for generic disorders and has a very low inbreeding coefficient.
